4 Things You Should Do Each and Every Pay Day

I used to take pay days for granted. It was exciting to finally get paid after working so hard for two weeks. We didn’t do anything extravagant with our paychecks, but we definitely spent them without a plan in place on both necessary and unnecessary expenses.

Tired of scrounging around for money a few days before you get paid? Start being diligent with your money the moment you receive it, and you'll soon find that you won't have to nickel and dime any more.© iQoncept / Dollar Photo Club

My biggest mistake? I wasn’t sitting down on pay day to get the most out of each paycheck, and we paid for it over the long term.

We could have had more in savings, we could have spent less on unnecessary expenses, and we could have done smarter things with anything that was left.

I am willing to bet that you, too, can do more with your take-home pay than you think. It just takes 4 steps each and every pay day to come out ahead and stop living a paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. Maybe it will take some sacrifice or some dedication to budgeting, but you will be so amazed at all the things it will allow you to do over time.

  1. I don’t see the four steps. Do I have to go to a different post? It would be nice if they were listed in this post.

    • Yes, you have to click on the link to go to read it on The Budget Mama. It was a guest post, so I am not going to share the 4 steps on my blog.

Click on the link where?? Why is it always so difficult to read what your looking for online! I don’t want to see advertising, blogs or related stories!
